Creative Director

By admin

The creative director guides all projects, makes high-level creative decisions, and is responsible for the overall quality of work produced by the creative department.

The responsibilities of a creative director include leading the communication design, brand development, interactive design, and concept forward in any work assigned. The creative director is known to guide a team of employees with skills and experience related to graphic design, fine arts, motion graphics, and other creative industry fields.

The difference between creative directors and art directors are art directors focus on aesthetics, whereas creative directors handle strategy, campaign execution, art direction, and more. A creative director may request a bold font to exude strength; an art director will know the names of the fonts that will work.

Creative director positions are often found within the television production, graphic design, film, music, video game, fashion, advertising, media, or entertainment industries, but may be useful in other creative organizations such as web development and even software development firms.
